Bringing over 35 years of elite sports broadcasting experience to the mic, Pat Olson is a Coastside legend who has called Half Moon Bay High School football games since 2004 and recently announced the Varsity Baseball team’s thrilling run to the Northern California State Title. A staple across the Bay Area sports landscape, Olson is gearing up for his 35th season as the radio play-by-play voice for USF Dons men’s basketball on KNBR. Over his storied career, he has covered iconic sporting events including the Super Bowl, World Series, NBA Finals, NCAA Final Four, U.S. Open Golf Championship, and Major Title Fights, alongside broadcast roles with the 49ers, Giants, Raiders, Sharks, and Warriors. Beyond the booth—where he has announced everything from professional sports to roller hockey and arm wrestling championships—Pat spent 23 years inspiring local students as a U.S. History teacher at Half Moon Bay High School and is an avid traveler who has visited all 50 states.
